2013 Australian Scholarships

The Australian High Commission announce the opening for applications of the Australian Agency for international Development (AusAID), Australia Awards, third round of scholarships for study in Australia, commencing January 2013. This is being organized in collaboration with Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Dominic.

The Australian High commission has the privilege to confirm that Australia Awards are offered to the member states of CARICOM, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Citizens of these countries, who fulfill the criteria set out in the applicant profiles list, may apply for an Australia Award. Applications are assessed alongside all submissions received from the Caribbean region. Australia Awards in the Caribbean are offered at the Masters and PhD levels. AusAID does not select the applicant’s area of study however there are comprehensible priority areas outlined in the information pack to which the Masters or PhD award must relate.

These websites allow applicants to search for the most appropriate university given their chosen area of study.

There are several types of Australia Awards available which include:

  • The Australian Development Scholarships (ADS)
  • The Australian Leadership Awards (ALAS)
  • Endeavour Awards

The on-line application process for the 2013 academic year intake opens from 1st February to 30th April 2012.
