The UK Overseas Funding for NGOs

The UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID) works with developing countries to reduce global poverty. It has a number of funding schemes for NGOs, both at the centralized level as well as in countries of its operation. The major kinds of NGO support programmes, mostly implemented in partnership between UK-based INGOs and local NGOs of the country, include the Civil Society Challenge Fund, the Development Awareness Fund, Mini Grants Scheme and the Governance and Transparency Fund.
