Intel Foundation’s International Grants

Intel, the multinational chip maker corporation has its philanthropic arm, the Intel Foundation that aims to improve the educational opportunities and quality of life for communities worldwide. Some of its sponsorships include the Intel Science Talent Search and Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

There are also awards such as the Intel Schools of Distinction Award honoring U.S. schools that demonstrate 21st century teaching and learning environments.

The Intel Global Challenge is an international competition allows emerging entrepreneurs to submit and receive feedback on the viability of their plan from successful entrepreneurs and those that fund them. Winning business plans from the Intel Challenge and other local entrepreneurship programs that Intel sponsors receive focused mentorship, over USD 150,000 in prize money and the opportunity to participate in the global competition – Intel Global Challenge. At the global competition, teams from around the world vie for an additional USD 100,000 in prize money and receive direct feedback from leaders in the Silicon Valley entrepreneur community.

Intel’s International Grants offer support in education, environment and community. The community site grants support additional programs that improve the quality of life in our communities.

Grant requests are usually honored at the local Intel office and the foundation strongly recommends contacting it direct. However, the grants are available in limited countries only – probably only in those where Intel has full-fledged operations. For more information on Intel’s international grants, visit this link.
