The Orange Door Project Grant Program: 9 November 2015
The Home Depot Canada Foundation is seeking applications from Canadian registered charities who share the foundation’s commitment towards communities, homeless and vulnerable youth through two grant programs:
- Community Grants – The program provides registered Canadian charities with funding for affordable housing and community based improvement projects that benefit Canadians in need, in particular homeless youth and encourage hands-on service through volunteer engagement.
- The Orange Door Project Grant Program – The program provides funding to Canadian registered charities making repairs, refurbishments and/or modifications to a housing accommodation or other support facility that benefits homeless youth.
The Foundation is dedicated to sharing time, knowledge and resources to support affordable housing and build strong communities for Canadians in need by supporting initiatives that help put an end youth homelessness.
Grant Information
- Community Grants: Maximum Grants of up to $5,000 (cash and/or The Home Depot gift card)
- The Orange Door Project Grant Program: Maximum Grants of up to $50,000 cash will be provided by the foundation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Canadian charities that have a charitable registration number (assigned by Canada Revenue Agency).
- Project is taking place in Canada
- Project will get underway within six months of application submission.
- Project serves a disadvantaged population in Canada.
