The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark has launched the Pilot Research Cooperation Program (PRCP) between Ghana and Denmark 2011-2012 and is inviting research institutes and universities in the private and public sectors through Ghana to apply for it.
The main objective of the PRCP is to promote research and develop institutional capacity among Ghanaian research institutions and universities within the national research priorities of Ghana.

- Climate Variability and Natural Resource Management
The specific topic selected for research must take as a point of departure, and be relevant for, the bilateral development cooperation between Ghana and Denmark.
In 2011 the total grant for a 3 year period for projects from Ghana is DKK 10 million (approx. USD 1,8 million). A maximum of two projects can receive support in 2011, each with a maximum of DKK 5 million and a life span of three years. The project grants will cover all costs involved in the research project, including the participation of the Danish researchers. Therefore the budget information in the application will only serve as a preliminary indication for the total project budget and the recommended projects will receive further guidance on how to develop a more detailed budget.
