The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) is currently inviting proposals from young and middle level faculties of medical colleges, universities and research institutions of north east states for North East Seed Grants Scheme under the initiative of Department of Health Research, for promotion of research activities in the north east region.
Grants Available
Grant of upto Rs. 20,00,000 (Rs. 20 lacs) will be provided to the researchers if the project proposal is found suitable for consideration by the committee reviewing these proposals.

- Maternal and child health
- Nutrition
- Communicable and non communicable diseases.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open for Indian Applicants.
- Applicants may be Young and middle level faculty of the medical colleges, postgraduate institutions, universities, recognized research institute and development laboratories and NGOs.
- Applications from non-governmental agencies should provide documentary evidence of registration (Registered with the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India.
