The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) together with Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR) is currently inviting proposals from the researchers working in research institutions, universities, colleges, NGOs to undertake research on the Joint Research Programme on the proposed themes.
The maximum duration of the research projects would be 2 years.
Themes
- Issues related to effective delivery and utilization of services by the community focusing on structural factors, health seeking factors, and factors influencing effective delivery and utilization.
- Target groups for research would be both the providers and the community.
- The focus in the community would be women, children and adolescents.
- Issue related to service delivery and utilization by marginalized groups/Dalits.
- Effective Information, Education and Communication (IEC) and behaviour change strategies.
- Social and behavioural issues related to diseases like Malaria, TB, Polio, Leprosy, HIV/AIDS, infant mortality, reproductive health, Chikungunya, Dengue, and the issues of gender and nutrition.

- Open for Indian Applicants.
- Applications are open for the researchers working in research institutions, universities, colleges, NGOs.
How to Apply
- The researcher must submit a set of 10 hard copies of the full proposal through proper channel, one CD containing the full proposal and one soft copy by E-mail to both the Nodal Persons at ICMR and ICSSR whose details are given below.
- The proposals must be uploaded through Online System of ICMR as per instructions given.
Note: No project would be processed without uploading Online to ICMR.
