As France prepares to host the 21st UN framework conference on climate change (COP21) in Paris later this year, the Embassy of France in Uganda, under its small grants project, the Social Development Fund (SDF) is calling for project proposals from registered Ugandan civil society organizations and local public entities, to mitigate climate change effects in Uganda.
Eligibility
To be supported, the project must:
- Be implemented in or around Kampala (100km radius)
- Respond to an identified need and directly benefit vulnerable communities;
- Involve beneficiaries in all project stages;
- Achieve tangible and measurable results; and
- Ensure the sustainability of project impacts.

Funding criteria
The total SDF financial support to each project ranges from 8,000 € to 15,000 €. The implementation duration should be a minimum of six months and must not exceed two years Beneficiaries are expected to contribute 30% of the total cost of the project either in kind or through financial contribution
