Earth Corps brings together emerging environmental leaders throughout the world to participate in an environmental service program. This program is being organized at Seattle/King County, Washington DC, US.
Earth Corps programs emphasize on physical hands-on field service that includes:
Participants take part in environmental restoration projects including tree-planting, trail construction, stream restoration and invasive plant removal. Projects are located throughout Washington State.
Earth Corps international participants will receive:
- A monthly stipend
- Health insurance
- Home stay family
Earth Corps charges no fees for international participants. Some financial assistance from Earth Corps may be available in the form of an airfare scholarship. Any scholarship will be offered in reimbursement form after participants arrive in Seattle. Scholarships are based upon several factors, including a participant’s financial need and the total need for the entire incoming international group.
Earth Corps is required by the US government to ensure that every applicant meets strict criteria in order to qualify for a US J-1 Trainee visa. You must have a university degree in an environmental field and/or environmental work experience to qualify.
