The District of Columbia Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) is seeking application forms with the aim to plant trees, install conservation landscaping, and remove impervious surfaces and replace them with pervious pavers or vegetation on private residential property in the district and strengthen District residents. The grant will also help to coordinate the existing and future efforts of the district’s local stakeholders to implement water quality improvements in the Anacostia Watershed.
DOEE intends to fund projects that will benefit the environment and in particular environment of the District of Columbia.
Funding Information
- RiverSmart Homes Tree Planting and Rebate Program: $330,000.00
- RiverSmart Homes Landscaping Installation Program: $600,000.00
- Anacostia Ambassador Program: $140,000.00
Eligibility Criteria
The following applicants are eligible to apply
- Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) determinations;
- Faith-based organizations;
- Government agencies
- Universities/educational institutions; and
- Private Enterprises.
