The Asian Center for Journalism is inviting Asian working journalists to be a part of its fellowships for the Master of Arts (MA) in Journalism in order to develop and leverage the Asian perspective in their work, intensify their commitment to journalism’s ideals, and be at the cutting-edge in a global, technologically sophisticated environment.
The fellowships are awarded to full-time Asian journalists who have excellent professional and academic record, a commitment to good journalism and leadership qualities.
The program is administered by ACFJ under the Ateneo Department of Communication and accepts about 20 students from various Asian countries each year.
ACJ’s Mission
- To promote excellence and professionalism in journalism in Asia
- To ensure continuing professional growth of journalists by offering courses on the craft and best practices of journalism promoting a culture of learning in news organizations initiating discussions of issues vital to the integrity of the news media
- To foster cultural understanding by promoting the exchange of news and commentary encouraging dialogue among journalists and among news organizations
