By fundsforngos, on December 2nd, 2008
Better World Together Foundation is a California-based Foundation, emerging out of business philanthropy. It primarily provides
grants to
organizations in the United States. However, it has limited international grants for
NGOs mostly located in the countries of Tanzania, Malawi and
Kenya. Better World Together Foundation provides grants in three major areas, namely, ‘Child Development,’ ‘Health & Environment’ and ‘Economic Development.’ Under ‘Child Development,’ it particularly focuses upon orphans and
children,
education and literacy, youth
development and foster care. Food Security, clean
water, maternal and child
health are covered under Health & Environment.’ It also supports provision of financial services and entrepreneurship to the rural
poor under its ‘Economic Development’ theme.
The organization does not accept proposals immediately. There has to be a proper letter of inquiry from the applying NGO and after reviewing the letter, funding would be provided. NGOs are encouraged to go through the grantmaking guidelines before seeking the support.
