Blaustein Philanthropic Group

The Blaustein Philanthropic Group comprises of four foundations founded by same group of family members. These foundations include the following:

The Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Foundation which provides grants in the area of human rights and social justice, including those projects that strengthen Jewish life, democracy, educational opportunity, health and mental health and human rights.

The Morton K. and Jane Blaustein Foundation provides grants in the areas of educational opportunity, health and mental health and human rights.

The Henry and Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Foundation provides grants in Baltimore area of the United States and supports programs related to healthcare, arts and culture, youth development, education and health.

The David and Barbara B. Hirschhorn Foundation supports both Jewish and secular initiatives in the areas of educational opportunity, human service needs and intergroup tolerance and understanding.

Interested organizations can submit proposals to one or all the four foundations of the Blaustein Philanthropic Group in the areas mentioned above; however, it is best to read their program priorities in greater detail before presenting a proper proposal for fund requests. Although proposals are accepted, applicants are encouraged to submit 2-3 page letter of intent explaining their ideas and then submit the full proposal on request. It is also important to address the letter to the appropriate foundation.
