The Global Fund for Women (GFW) has a 2007 update handbook providing information on fundraising to women’s rights organizations. The handbook is entitled as Fundraising for Change:A Practical Guide for Women’s Rights Organizations. It begins with a positive note that money for promoting women’s rights is available around the world but accessing for it can be particularly challenging and this can be achived by mobilizing networks, contacting donors and linking with other organizations. The handbook also introduces to GFW’s own grantmaking process. It introduces the reader to fundraising basics and offers several innovative ideas for raising resources. However, it also emphasizes upon the need to look into oneself before embarking upon raising funds for women’s rights projects and programs. The handbook also had list of potential donors who can fund these projects and programs. The handbook can be downloaded from this link.
