How Nonprofits can Raise Funds with Youtube Support

YouTube, the largest video-sharing website and a subsidiary of Google has a nonprofit program from which organizations in United States and United Kingdom can benefit. The nonprofit program allows nonprofit organizations to use its worldwide reach for campaigning, mobilizing and networking. Whether it is a fundraising campaign or an appeal for volunteers or for publicizing the efforts of the nonprofits, the YouTube Nonprofit Program provides necessary video tools for enhancing the impact and reaching out to a wider community. Although uploading and managing channels on YouTube is free for everyone, the Nonprofit Program has special benefits like “increased uploading capacity” of videos compared to other users and also there will be “premium branding capabilities” for the videos uploaded under this program. In addition to this, the videos will also have the option of carrying a “Donate” Button linked through Google Checkout. Besides, the videos will be listed on nonprofit channels and nonprofit videos on search pages. The program currently is available only in the above-mentioned two countries but YouTube promises it will expand this service to other countries. Link.
