AUSAID's Regional Schemes with ASEAN

AUSAID has the Regional Partnerships Scheme is focused upon the addressing the major developmental challenges of the ASEAN region. The scheme provides funding to projects which are jointly implemented by organizations from Australian and the ASEAN region. The scheme aims to promote sustanable economic development and poverty reduction and its strategy is based upon the development priorties as identified by ASEAN’s Vision 2020 and the Hanoi Plan of Action. The scheme also intends to facilitate the integration of the new ASEAN member states such as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam. Generally, the grants for the project funding are within the range of $50,000 to $500,000. Applicantions for this funding scheme can be submitted throughout the year and it is assessed by the ASEAN-Australian Joint Selection and Review Panel, which a meeting once in every four months.
