The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) is inviting qualified proposers to support gender equality and a social cohesion effort through service delivery in Jordan’s hosting communities (specifically Irbid and Zarqa).
Objectives
The main roles of UN Women are:
- To support inter-governmental bodies, such as the Commission on the Status of Women, in their formulation of policies, global standards and norms.
- To help Member States to implement these standards, standing ready to provide suitable technical and financial support to those countries that request it, and to forge effective partnerships with civil society.
- To lead and coordinate the UN system’s work on gender equality as well as promote accountability, including through regular monitoring of system-wide progress.
Eligibility Criteria
- This Proposal is open to all international and national organizations that can provide the requested goods/services/works, and are legally constituted or represented in the procuring country.
- A Proposer may be a private, public or government-owned legal entity or any combination of them in the form of associations(s) including joint ventures or consortiums with a formal intent to enter into an agreement.
- UN Women encourages Proposal submissions from women led/owned qualified organizations and from developing countries/regions.
