Deadline: 18 December 2015
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications from qualified organizations to provide technical assistance and support to USAID/Jordan Water Conservation Activity (WCA) with a motive to save water in Jordan and create a national movement for water conservation.
In the long-term, the WCA is expected to significantly decrease over-drafting of Highland aquifers; augment water availability in households; increase capture of rainwater currently lost through evaporation or run-off; and convince farmers to adopt high-value/water-efficient crops and practices. The conference will be held in Washington, DC and is open to all potential applicants.
Objectives
The WCA will seek to achieve its water saving goals by addressing three objectives:
- Water conserving technologies and behavior changes can be adopted
