The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Germany and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Indo-German Cooperation in Health Research is inviting applicants in order to support research and development projects in fields of common interest.
The programme facilitates bilateral cooperation between the scientific communities of India and Germany by way of joint research projects, bilateral workshops/seminars, exchange visits of scientists, scientific delegations and composite (scientific and industrial) delegations.
Funding Information
- Indian scientists to Germany:
Short-term (up to 30 days): 104 Euro per day; max. 2.300 Euro for 23 to 30 days
Long-term (max. 3 months): 2.300 Euro per month, 77 Euro for single days exceeding full months
- German scientists to India:
Short-term (up to 30 days): Rs. 2500/- per day
Long-term (max. 3 months): Rs. 50,000/- per month plus Accommodation Rs. 1750/- for single days exceeding full months
Priority Areas
Proposals should be submitted in the following national priority areas in Health Research and Biomedical Sciences:
- Maternal & Child Health and Pediatric Diseases, with a special focus on Adolescent Health
- Effects of Climate Change on Health
- Research for a healthier life – strategies for prevention, health promotion and nutrition
Eligibility Criteria
- Proposals should include young scientists
- Scientists/faculty members working in regular capacity in universities, national R&D laboratories/institutes and private R&D institutes can apply under this programme.
- Private Sector: Partners from all kind of private sectors are welcome, but financing is limited:
- For Indian scientists from the private sector, only local hospitality in Germany as part of the exchange visit is available from the German side;
- For German scientists from the private sector, only travel costs are available for small and medium size enterprises (for definition of SME ref. to 2003/361/EC) as well as local hospitality in India will be borne by themselves.
