Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) – New Delhi is inviting Expression of Interest from Indian NGOs for Small Innovative Project under its People’s Empowerment for Accessing Rights to Livelihood (PEARL). The programme has been developed to “promote and encourage innovative initiatives in people’s empowerment for accessing rights to livelihood.” There are four main thematic areas under which the financial assistance to NGOs will be provided:
- Right to food
- Right to work
- Right to Credit
- Right to Natural Resources
Some of the guidelines of the programme are the funding should be used for field-based activities only and not for organizing meetings/workshops etc; proposals should clearly justify the innovativeness in its approach; the funding should be used more as a seed money; preference is given to projects proposed from 15 states operational under PEARL project and there should be special focus upon women, youth and children.
Registered Indian voluntary organizations with FCRA and compliance with Income Tax rules should apply for this grant opportunity. The applications have to be submitted both by email and mail. The deadline to make the submissions is 28 February 2010. For more information, visit this link.
