The World Education is seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Chief of Party based in Accra, Ghana.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Chief of Party will perform the following functions-
- Provide overall program technical, managerial, and financial leadership, working closely with USAID and other key actors and stakeholder.
- Oversee procurement of selected services according to USAID and WEI procedures.
- Provide direct managerial oversight to all staff, consultants and NGO partners, fostering professional development of staff.
- Provide technical leadership and quality assurance in the design, delivery and evaluation of materials to strengthen teacher preparation and ability to teach reading, using NALAP as a base.
- Promote financial management standards, transparency, and accountability in compliance with USAID rules and regulations.
- Support the development of tools for pedagogical excellence in early grade reading numeracy.
- Ensure the timely and quality completion of all technical, financial and contractual deliverables.
- Build relationships with Government of Ghana, Ministry of Education, and Ghana Education Service officials.
- Oversee capacity building programs among local NGOs and government offices.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- 8+ years of relevant field experience in educational development, teacher training, instructional material/curriculum development.
- Demonstrated experience managing and providing technical, administrative and financial guidance and supervision to a development program.
- Experience with USAID project management policies, procedures and reporting requirements.
- Master’s level degree or higher in Education or related field.
- Extensive knowledge in decentralized education programming in the West Africa and experience in Ghana highly desirable.
- Experience establishing and maintaining public-private partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate staff to work in a cohesive team, operative and well-organized sub-project teams, working with government to deliver on results.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English required.
- Prior experience serving as a Chief of Party or Deputy Chief of Party highly preferred.
