The Amnesty International is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Regional Office Executive Assistant / Office Administrator based in China, Hong Kong.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Regional Office Executive Assistant will perform the following functions-
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the Regional Director’s diary.
- Manage and coordinate all correspondence and requests received by the RD, identify issues of importance drawing them to the attention of the appropriate person.
- Research, coordinate and organise local and international travel arrangements for the RD, Deputies as well as other staff from the Regional Office as appropriate.
- Prepare travel itineraries; collate travel documents, meeting papers and other information needed by the RD for such business trips.
- Organise and coordinate meetings/events, including international meetings/events with a range of stakeholders; prepare and circulate agendas; arrange logistics and, assist in the preparation of reports.
- Together with the Finance and Office Assistant, provide staff with sufficient logistical support, and maintain clear administrative and communication systems including technical support such as uploading content to the internet/intranet.
- Support the Finance and Office Manager in providing appropriate human resources services as necessary.
- Assist the Finance and Office Manager in ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations.
- Cover for the absences of members of the Regional Finance and Administrative team to ensure coverage of the Regional administrative matters.
- Coordinate the information flow from the Regional Office and contribute to good communication systems between the office and other International Secretariat (IS) programmes, Amnesty International (AI) Sections and Structures, the International Executive Committee (IEC) and other AI decision-making bodies and structures.
- Provides ad hoc support the Regional Office team members as appropriate within the self-servicing guidelines.
- Undertakes projects and training as directed by the RD.
- Exercise highest level of discretion through managing the exchange of confidential, sensitive or contentious information both internally and externally with managers/staff/external persons in a professional manner.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Extensive experience of leading campaigns at the national & international level through a campaigns lifecycle (issue identification, strategy development, campaign delivery, monitoring & evaluation, campaign exit and impact assessment), and using strategic campaign methodologies & tools
- Knowledge of the sub-region in which the post operates as well as global issues and trends; the ability to work effectively within a varied and changing set of focus issues or countries
- Experience of working in a key leadership role in a complex organization ideally based outside the organization’s global “head” office, and preferably with experience of maintaining a successful operation during times of organizational change
- The ability to matrix manage cross-functional, multi-cultural, and distance project teams;
- Experience of working with colleagues, partners and/or rights-holders based around the world, including the global North and global South; knowledge of participatory methodologies desirable
- Excellent political judgment and the ability to spot and address both risks and opportunities
- Ability to negotiate, challenge and confront conflict, brokering solutions to achieve goals.
- The ability to lead innovative and creative approaches to campaigning; experience of using online and offline activism techniques and a range of digital channels to achieve campaign objectives
- Understanding of voluntary commitment and of organizational needs of a membership organisation and the implications of this for developing and implementing campaigns internationally.
- Awareness of issues of social justice, equality and fairness and an understanding of equal opportunities issues and willingness to apply in work.
