The International Development Law Organisation (IDLO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Field Programme Manager/Gender Expert at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Field Programme Manager will perform the following functions-
- Manage the IDLO project in Mongolia in daily implementation issues including inter alia revisions to project design, work-plans, and budgets, and recruitment of experts;
- Plan, supervise and co-ordinate the work of the Mongolia Project Team responsible for the implementation of the project, ensuring coherence and synergy between the respective activities;
- Assist the Project Team with technical outputs, including providing legal analysis and contributions to project deliverables;
- Provide inputs to and clear drafts of Terms of References for various short term technical consultants and implementing partners of the project;
- Review and report on deliverables of the Project Team and short term technical consultants;
- Provide inputs to and supervise external communication strategy of the project; Undertake any other tasks required for the timely and quality implementation of the project;
- Lead the preparation of internal reporting and external donor narrative reports;
- Review internal and external financial reports of the project in collaboration with the Field Office Finance Officer.
- Monitor expenditure and be responsible for the monitoring and updating of financial forecasts; and identify areas of under or over spending;
- Monitor the program implementation environment, including security, political, development and personnel issues that may affect implementation of the project;
- Identify and report in a timely manner any difficulty or possible change in project strategies, objectives, results or activities, and make recommendations for timely and optimal course corrections;
- Identify project and team successes, as well as lessons learned, and lead documentation for internal and external information sharing;
- In cooperation with IDLO Chief of Party, Mongolia, and IDLO Headquarters, identify new programmatic opportunities and develop proposals for funding. Partnerships, networking and coordination
- Represent IDLO in program events, build and maintain relationships with donors, international organizations, the Mongolian institutions, CSO’s and other implementing organizations in relation to the project;
- Attend partnership and networking meetings to foster development and implementation of the project.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree in Law, Social Sciences or related field is required. Work experience
- At least 5-7 years of significant relevant professional experience in project management, including extensive experience in managing projects that address GBV;
- Technical understanding of the law and experience in implementation of GBV related initiatives/ in designing gender strategies and programs;
- Strong professional record in program/project cycle management;
- Proven experience in team management, report writing, budget development and financial reporting/forecasting.
- Demonstrated program development and donor relations experience;
- Proficient level of English is required, knowledge of Mongolian and/ or Russian desirable.
