The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Consultant in Strategic and Digital Communication based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Consultant in Strategic and Digital Communication will perform the following functions-
- Develop a proposed communication strategies OCHA-Haiti in line with the corporate communication strategy OCHA-HQ including WHD, WHS, Crowd funding and other innovative approaches;
- Analyze and present a proposal to align all of OCHA Haiti information products including website and computer graphics tools;
- Press in the production of information and advocacy materials including status reports, newsletters, press releases, briefing notes etc;
- Press in the collection of information necessary for the preparation of reports (public or internal) produced by the Office;
- Press maintaining regular contact with the offices in order to ensure a smooth flow of information and contribute to advocacy actions to be undertaken in the field;
- Contribute to the organization of events (seminars, meetings with donors, field trips, media tours, press conferences);
- Participate in coordination meetings to collect information and prepare reports highlighting the points for advocacy;
- Prepare the journal of daily or weekly press;
- Archive various reports produced by the section;
- Ensuring the Acting Head of Public Information in case of absence;
- Perform other duties as requested by the Head of the section or office manager;
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree of second cycle (or have equivalent professional experience) in communication, journalism, international relations, social sciences, political, linguistic or have relevant equivalent experience in a combination of these areas;
- Have at least 3 years of professional experience in video editing Knowledge and shooting;
- Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher;
- Good analytical skills;
- Good capacity for oral communication and writing;
- Good interpersonal relationships;
- Ability to work in a multiracial and multicultural environment;
- Demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a difficult environment;
- Speak and write perfectly French and English;
- Knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage.
