The Amnesty International is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Regional Capacity Building Coordinator based in Thailand, Bangkok.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Regional Capacity Building Coordinator will perform the following functions-
- Support a portfolio of membership entities to be viable and growing organisations that contribute to human rights change in line with AI’s strategic priorities through the provision and/ or facilitation of professional organisational development services.
- In close collaboration with other IS programmes and or sections and structures, coordinate the identification of capacity building needs of AI membership entities and the delivery of capacity building support.
- Support or lead on information gathering and analysis from sections and structures, in order to share learning and provide advice to the movement.
- Maintain oversight of the work of different IS programmes and others in relation to each section, coordinating regular exchanges of information to enable a highly coordinated output for greater human rights impact.
- Act as a key point for AI entities and the IS by responding to queries and providing information as appropriate, including briefings, strategic advice regarding the developments and state of health of AI entities as appropriate.
- Prepare briefings about the situation of sections and structures to the Secretary General’s Office or International Executive Committee as needed.
- Keep abreast of developments in organizational development theory and practice; contribute to the ongoing learning and skills development of the team.
- Participate in and contribute to the growth and mobilization discussions and development of strategies and plans of MSP and wider IS as appropriate in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the movement.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Ability to demonstrate previous experience in organizational development and capacity building theory and good practice in multinational settings.
- Experience in coordinating resources to support an organization’s organizational development including at a distance and from various sources.
- Ability to coordinate and assist in developing national growth strategy of AI’s sections and structures so that they can create and retain a vibrant constituency of members, supporters and activists and maintain effective presence and influence of AI.
- Ability to identify objectives, targets and potential partners; motivate others to take part; evaluate progress and assess results, showing evidence of creativity in these areas.
- Ability to set priorities and plan to meet strategic objectives.
- Ability to use participatory approaches, methodologies and tools when working with AI staff/members, and others.
- Conveys complex information clearly and succinctly and expresses her/ himself unequivocally, diplomatically and firmly, with a view to motivating others.
- Fluent written and spoken English and one regional language to which the post is to be based.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Ability to work with others, facilitate teamwork and motivate individuals from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.
- Ability to use political judgment in complex organisational dynamics and situations.
