The Ford Foundation is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Facilities Manager based in New York, USA.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating day-to-day building maintenance services, planning, design and implementation of building interior and exterior construction projects.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Facilities Manager performs the following functions-
- Supervises the activities of various vendors providing services for repair, renovation, and maintenance of the Foundation facility.
- Coordinates all staff relocations and changes with the Property Manager.
- Assists with the relationships and activities of the external service providers including property management and janitorial services.
- Supervises the Life Safety Compliance Officer and the implementation of the building life safety program and procedures.
- Provides project reporting and operating budget financial management to the Facilities Management Department.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- College degree in engineering or architecture with a minimum of 6 years of commercial high-rise and/or property portfolio management experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or comparable certification.
- Experience in construction, building mechanical systems, facility maintenance, and all facets of property operation and building management.
- Experience with critical system environments.
- Excellent technical, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, such as OSHA and Fire Department.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
