The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently seeking applications form the eligible applicants for the post of Communication Intern, based in El Salvador.
UNDP works in more than 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Communication Intern will perform the following functions-
- Write and design content related to project activities for dissemination and promotion;
- Manage on-line content and publications and keep the project website updated with relevant project information;
- Create and manage project official social media;
- Support coordination of regional forums and workshops related to issues of safety and security in Central America;
- Develop knowledge products and interactive tools;
- Coordinate with UNDP Country Offices and implementing partners to ensure smooth and timely project implementation;
- Support to resource mobilization strategy and actions;
- Support to documentation and coordination of knowledge management strategy.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Enrollment in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism desirable;
- Relevant experience in similar positions at national or international level, public relations, communications or journalism;
- Experience / skills in managing website content and social media;
- Experience / skills in writing and editing communication materials and/or publication;
- Experience in the use of computers and office suites, good knowledge and experience in managing databases in network systems;
- Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
