The World Bank is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Program Assistant based in Rabat, Morocco.
The World Bank has set two ambitious goals to push extreme poverty to no more 3 percent by 2030, and to promote shared prosperity and greater equity in the developing world.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Program Assistant performs the following functions-
- Provide assistance at various levels in organizing meetings, conference calls, video conferences, workshops, conferences, including handling administrative and logistic arrangements, preparing and assembling meeting materials, sending out invitations, and follow-up.
- Provide quality control by monitoring documents for accuracy, ensuring adherence to unit and Bank guidelines and procedures, and assisting in editing, formatting, and production of documents and correspondence, both internal and official.
- Participate in developing project/product time lines, using appropriate software.
- Serve as an information resource on status of project and draft a variety of standard project-related correspondences.
- Undertake ad hoc inquiries, investigate standard and non-standard databases, identify and research various sources of information, retrieve, manipulate and present data.
- Respond and handle a wide-range of extensive and diverse inquiries, prioritizing and making decisions when multiple courses of action are possible and prepare correspondence on a range of topics.
- Provide administrative support, organize and manage meeting schedules for task teams (and visiting missions before and while they are in country).
- Work on office administrative/logistical tasks with other team assistants, and provide back up during their absence.
- Interact On a daily basis, the Program Assistant will primarily interact with task team leaders, government counterparts, and CMU.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- High School Diploma, BA preferred.
- Minimum Years of Relevant Experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Bank policies and procedures, both administrative and operational. Substantial varied experience in the Bank or very good ability to grasp and understand procedures and work processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact diplomatically with clients and staff at all levels, recognized ability to exercise good judgment in interpersonal dealings at all levels and in handling confidential information.
- Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills.
- Reliability, resourcefulness and flexibility.
- Positive attitude, be a self-starter and maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Ability to take initiative and contribute to a time-oriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and writing/editing skills in English and French.
- Advanced computer literacy with multiple computer software applications (e.g. inter-related word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, database and presentation applications).
