  2. KABAGAMBE KENNETH says:

    dear Sir/Madam,
I am running an NGO called The National Organization for People Living with Hepatitis B (NOPLHB)in Uganda it is a patient based organization and a voting member of the world hepatitis alliance. While HIV afflicts 7% of the Ugandan population, 10% of this same population live with chronic Hepatitis B Virus (HBV)infection. Because the two viral infections are transmitted in similar modes, very many people live with HIV/HBV co-infection. Co-infection worsens liver disease progression. Therefore co-infected patients should be considered a special group where testing, counseling and treatment are priorities. As we celebrate the world AIDS Day, hepatitis patients should also be considered a vulnerable group like HIV Patients.

    Dear Sir/Madam

I am running an NGO called Zambia Tuberculosis and Leprosy Trust. We have an HIV/AIDS programme which deals with VCT, ART at our community clinic. Currently we have over 600 clients receiving ARVs( Women, Men and children). We also have community based activities on both TB and HIV/AIDS. We have been cerebrating World AIDS Day for the last 4 years now because we have been having a 5 year grant from Big Lottery Fund of UK which is coming to an end in July 2012. This means we will have funds this year for this important activity. Am happy to see this call because we have planned to carryout household VCT to reduce stigma and to increase uptake of HIV counseling and Testing. I will be very happy if my application will be considered.

    Thank you so much.
