Fund for Rights, Safety and Health of Women and Girls

The Indigenous People’s Fund has been announced by the Tides Foundation. Under this Fund, the Request for Proposals has been issued for indigenous organizations working for “preserving and enhancing the rights, health, safety and education of women and girls in native communities.” The total amount of the fund available for each grantee is between US $15,000 to 40,000. The Fund supports the general operating proposals from indigenous organizations. There is a specific proposal format available and all submissions have to include the requirements listed. Those organizations which are applying for this fund from outside the United States need to submit proof of NGO certification. Proposals can be submitted online. The last date for sending the proposals to the Foundation is 8 April 2009. For more information, visit this link.
