Medals for Research on Development

The Medals for Research on Development – as part of the Global Development Network’s Global Development Awards and Medals 2010 – is a competitive grant program. Only completed research papers that demonstrate academic excellence on any one of the themes given below. The central topic of the themes is ‘development finance.’

Theme 1: External Capital Flows and Financing for Development

Theme 2: Domestic Resource Mobilization and Financial Sector Development: Another Angle to Look at the MDGs in a post-crisis world?

Theme 3: Innovative Sources of Development Finance

The grant awards include a first prize of US $10,000 and a second prize of US $5,000.

Citizens and permanent residents of developing and transition countries and citizens of developing and transition countries who are temporarily based in a developed country but not for more than five years can apply for this award. All applicants should be less than 45 years old as on 18 October 2010.
