World Bank announces Grant Recipients under Civil Society Fund in Armenia

The World Bank today announced that it has awarded grants of more than US $500,000 to NGOs in Armenia under the Civil Society Fund (CSF) 2009. The World Bank’s local office in Yerevan along with Counterpart International-Armenia and Jinishian Memorial Foundation made this announcement as part of the results of the CSF. This was an open competition through which finalists were selected and then winners were declared. Some of the NGOs who have received the funds include “Armavir Development Center, Green Way for Generations women’s organization, Public Dialogue and Initiative Centre, “Khatutik” (dandelion) NGO, National Road Safety Council, Social-Economic Analysis Centre and Women’s Resource Centre.” Source.
