21 September is celebrated as International Day of Peace and the theme of the 2015 International Day of Peace is “Partnerships for Peace – Dignity for All”
From history and to date, war and peace have been in focus always. The concern of the humankind for peace can be assessed by taking into account the fact that all religions, all religious scriptures and several religious ceremonies are committed to the cause of peace and all these advocate an elimination of war.
Being a part of a diverse world, we all are familiar with different religions and rituals.
As Oscar Romero said:
Peace is not the product of terror or fear.
Peace is not the silence of cemeteries.
Peace is not the silent result of violent repression.
Peace is the generous, tranquil contribution of all to the good of all.
On this vary occasion of International Day of Peace, we have created a list of open and upcoming opportunities by organizations/foundations promoting peace worldwide.
