The International ReSource Award for Sustainable Watershed Management 2009 is open to NGOs and other organizations around the world to apply for a prize worth US $150,000. The award is annually organized by the Swiss Re, a global reinsurer as part of its corporate social responsibility. The award highlights the importance of managing water in a sustainable manner and encourages organizations working on sustainable watershed management by providing the prize. An international jury selects the final award. Awards can be granted to single project or a group of projects based upon the decision f the international jury.
