Fellowship Programmes from United Nations University

The UNU-IAS (United Nations University – Institute of Advanced Studies) Fellowship Programmes provide opportunities for young scholars and policymakers from developing countries to purse PhD and postdoctoral research. The research will be undertaken under the supervision of an UNU-IAS faculty member and helps build professional networks and contacts at the international level. The fellows will be based at the UNU-IAS located in Yokohama or at UNU-ISP in Tokyo.

In order to apply for the fellowships, one needs to submit a complete research proposal outlining objectives, relavance and background and submit it to the UNU-IAS. The fellowships are for a period of 10 months to 24 months. The last date for applying for the fellowships is 31 March 2009. More information is available at this link.
