Key Job Responsibilities
The Knowledge Management & Communication Manager performs the following functions-
- Designing and implementing knowledge management and communication conceptual framework and communication plan for the CDS project ensuring that all critical components of the project are covered;
- Provide technical support for the improvement of evidence gathering process for demonstrating the direct effects and outcomes of CDS programmatic interventions;
- Train CDS staff including seconded TAs on the use of modern information, communication and technology (ICT) tools and software such as ODK toolkits, Google forms for the benefit of improving data collection and reporting procedures;
- Contribute towards research and development of new and innovative mechanisms of managing and reporting health, social welfare epidemiological information;
- Provide training to supported NGOs and SAG Department Technical Advisors on thematic issues such as evidence gathering for organizational learning, communication and developing advocacy briefs;
- Serve as the focal point for CDS in developing principal KMC products and services
- Update the CDS project websites with revenant and appropriate knowledge management and communication (KMC) materials as at when due;
- Manage and coordinate the production of CDS’ technical publications and scientific literatures;
- Present academic and research papers at conferences (on national and international level).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s Degree in Information Sciences, Knowledge Management, Development Communication or related fields from a recognized institution.
- At least 5 years of experience in Knowledge Management within NGOs and other sectors.
- Background training and working knowledge in research writing, emerging technologies and methodologies for knowledge management and communication would be highly desirable.
- Applicants with long years of experience in public health research fields having a huge number of scientific publication to their credits will be considered. At the minimum, five years of combined work experience with national and international NGOs in the area of KMC would desirable.
