South Asia Youth Conference (SAYC) 2015 is currently inviting young people’s from South Asia for gathering that brings together some of the most interesting and passionate change makers – social leaders, activists, politicians, artists, students, scientists, and anyone who connects with the cause of a united, peaceful South Asia.
This Conference will bring together fresh and experienced participants, a balance of gender and diversity, of countries and sub-regions and age groups.
The 5th SAYC will happen in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 11 – 15th December 2015.
Objectives
- Build deep ties:The South Asian Youth Conference puts a lot of emphasis on building deep ties.
- Solicit Support:Young leaders across the region start inspired initiatives.
- Learn and do Action for South Asia:There is a major focus on learning and understanding South Asia.
- Be a part of the South Asian movement:Building a South Asian movement is a slow process but an important one. Initially, it is about connecting people with no overarching agenda.
- Fun:At the end of the day, it is all about how well we lived and what friendships we formed. Fun is inevitable.
Key Dates
- 12th October: First deadline to submit completed applications.
- 15th October: Selection emails to first list of participants.
- 26th October: Last date to deposit the registration fee for first list of selected participants.
- 25th October: Final deadline to submit completed applications.
- 28th October: Selection emails to final list of participants.
- 8th November: Last date to deposit registration fee for final list of selected participants.
Eligibility Criteria
Anyone under 40 who is the resident of south Asia can apply.
