The Governance for Forest, Nature and People short course will be held from 22 October to 2 November 2012 in Indonesia.
The training programme is organized by the Centre for Development Innovation at Wageningen University and Research Centre. Candidates from the following developing countries can apply for fellowship opportunity to participate in this course through the Nuffic – Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP).

The course aims to provide participants with insights, knowledge and skills for designing and managing interactive policy processes in forest and nature management. In particular, the course should enable participants:
- to critically examine different policy processes in the context of sector changes
- to understand and assess the implications of up-scaling participation to working with diverse stakeholder groups at regional and national levels
- to identify the types of institutional change and support, necessary for effective interactive policy facilitation and improved governance
- to assess the impact of your own values and personal learning style and to further develop competencies as a process manager.
The course is suitable for project and programme managers, policy makers, consultants, researchers, NGO staff, postgraduate students, community leaders and business managers.
