EUCARINET – Fostering EU‐Caribbean Research and Innovation Networks is a four‐year INCONET Coordination Action, supported by the European Commission (DG RTD‐INCO), whose main goal is to strengthen bi‐regional sustainable dialogue on Science and Technology between Europe and the Caribbean.
As a mean for increasing networking opportunities among EU and Caribbean researchers, EUCARINET foresees a Travel Grant Scheme. The aim of the Travel Grant Scheme is to promote Caribbean and European researchers’ Seventh.
To this end, a second call will be launched during 2012 to support researchers to participate in specific international.
The aim of the travel grant scheme is to promote exchange between Caribbean and European reseachers as well as to encourage contacts between research institutions so that they may explore possibilities for joint participation in the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.
The Travel grants consists of two components-
- The participation of Caribbean researchers at 2012 info‐days and brokerage events in the following areas-
- Health
- ICT
- Knowledge‐Based Bio‐Economy
- Energy
- Environment
- Visits to specific research centers / institutions with existing contacts or acquaintance between the grantee and an European or Caribbean researcher or research group (expression of interest by the research facilitate.
