Tourism Cares is accepting Letters of Inquiry under its Worldwide Grant Program to provide grants to NGOs working on tourism projects. The grants are meant to provide support towards capacity building of local communities for enhancing livelihoods and also ensuring conservation of “exceptional cultural, historic or natural” sites. Grants are usually limited to US $10,000 per applicant, but proposals seeking more funding can also be considered. The deadline for submission of proposals is 1 October 2008.
