Funds for Africa-based NGOs working on Women's EmpowermentAfrican Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) provides funding to NGOs throughout Africa working on women’s empowerment. The fund addresses six thematic areas: women’s human rights, political participation, peace building, health (and reproductive rights), economic empowerment and HIV/AIDS. Grants are given to NGOs within the range of US $1000-40,000. NGOs can apply during any part of the year. The application guidelines and format can be referred at this link.
