NGOs working in the area of HIV and AIDS, women’s movements, youth movements and supporting People who Use Drugs (PUD) are invited to apply as Observers to participate in the upcoming Programme Coordinating Board (PCB) meeting of the UNAIDS to be held from 22-23 June 2009 in Geneva, Switzerland. The Observers will play a critical role in ensuring that there is accountability and communication between the PCB and the communities associated with the above-mentioned areas. The World AIDS Campaign will cover the costs of travel and stay for the selected applicants. There will be three types of Observers for the meeting: PUD Observer, Youth Observer and Women’s Observer. The Observers will be able to document the meeting process and also actively engage in dialogues, share and learn information and develop contacts with international policymakers, civil society organizations, UN officials etc involved globally in the field. There are specific requirements for each of the applicants to apply and there are different applications form for each of the Observer. The last date to apply for this opportunity is 28 May 2009.
