USAID has allocated a grant amount of US $11,000,000 for this program. The program will be implemented for a period of four years ending in September 2013. Proposal applications can be downloaded or requested from the USAID’s local office in New Delhi. Although applications have to be submitted by mail and email to the local office in India, all applicants have to register themselves at grants.gov as part of the eligibility. USAID seeking Proposals from Indian NGOs on Health
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is requesting proposals from Indian NGOs under its “Health of the Urban” (HUP) Program. The proposed project should address the issues of urban health and selected NGOs will work closely with the USAID’s Maternal and Child Health Nutrition and Urban (MCHNUH) Division of the Office of Population, Health and Nutrition (PHN) in India. This funding is mostly for India-based local NGOs but also the local affiliates of international nonprofits based in India can also apply for this funding opportunity. However, all applicants are required to have prior approval of the Home Ministry for receiving foreign grants under the Foreign Contributions Regulatory Act (FCRA).
