The European Commission (EC) in Afghanistan is providing grant support for community-based activities which promote the social inclusion of people with disabilities. The funding would render skills and training support for NGOs so that they are able to provide better services for the disabled and enhance their participation in “social structures in civil society and local decision-making.” Activities such as those that promote the empowerment of people with disabilities, improves their equity in society, linking them with other programmes and documenting best practices. The amount of grant to be awarded for each winning proposal is up to EUR 900,000.
Concept notes have to submitted initially which will be reviewed and final proposals would be requested. Submission can be made at the local office of the EC in Kabul, Afghanistan.
