Urban agriculture presents a promising solution for enhancing livelihood security in low-income neighborhoods by providing fresh food, creating job opportunities, and fostering community resilience. Our project, “Urban Agriculture for Livelihood Security in Low-Income Neighborhoods,” aims to develop urban farming initiatives that will improve food security, stimulate local economies, and promote sustainable practices.
This initiative seeks to empower communities through hands-on agricultural training, resource access, and the establishment of productive urban farms.
Many low-income neighborhoods face challenges related to food insecurity, limited access to fresh produce, and economic instability. Urban agriculture offers a solution by transforming vacant lots and underutilized spaces into productive farms and gardens. This project aims to address these challenges through a multifaceted approach that combines food production with community development.
