Asia Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) is holding its 32nd meeting in New Delhi, India between Aug.22-26, 2011that will highlight tutorials, oral presentations and demonstrations covering advanced network technologies and applications. There will be plenty of opportunities to interact with researchers and practitioners from Asia Pacific and beyond during this meeting.
The programme spans network and application technologies, as well as case studies of advanced networking in areas such as:
– e-Research Area: Medical, High Definition TV, Middleware, e-Culture, Agriculture, Earth Monitoring and Earth System
– Technology: IPv6, Network Security, Future Internet Testbed
32nd APAN Fellowship Program
Within the framework of these meetings, APAN offers Fellowship Program aimed at promoting “Global collaboration” through applicants’ participation in APAN meetings, which is held twice yearly. It is hoped that the meeting would provide them with the right environment to “network” with other researchers. It is also expected that the participants will promote Global Collaboration among their local communities after the meeting.
Fellowships are offered on a competitive basis, to be chosen from participating economies in APAN. Specifically, students (graduates and undergraduates) are encouraged to apply, although young researchers may be accorded sponsorship. Applicants whose papers are accepted for presentations will have favored status. A short note from the candidate on his/her “Motivation to Participate” may also help the reviewers in their final selection.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate should be citizen of economy of Asia-Pacific region.
- Candidate must belong to University/Research & Development Community/Non-Profit organization.
- For Indian applicants, there is a separate Indian Fellowship Program which is exclusively for them.
