Microstock photo company, Photokore, recently announced the launch of a country-specific photo competition and seeks submissions of images that profile each contestant’s country of choice.
Photographers from all around the world can participate in the contest ‘My Country’ and they can submit single or multiple image entries that illustrate the photographer’s country of choice. The contestants can chose the subject matter like people, landscapes, objects, etc. The objective is to submit a photo that evokes the spirit of the country the photographer has chosen to highlight.
“It’s often said that photos tell a story, that a picture is worth a thousand words. We believe that to be true, and want to give photographers a venue to show the story they can tell through their photography,” Photokore’s President & CEO Sean Mooney said at the contest launch.
Selection Procedure
The winning photos will be selected by a team of judges comprised of Photokore’s top image inspectors, based on their experience of judging hundreds of photos on a daily basis.
Prizes
First, second, and third place winners will receive prizes, and the first place winner will also become Photokore’s next Featured Artist. There is also a separate category for a Grand Prize winner! The top image selections will also be exhibited on the company’s website.
