The Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO) in Nepal is seeking nominations for Bigyan Memorial Research Award. The award was founded in memory of Late Bigyan Acharaya, an environmentalist and member of ENPHO. Bigyan Acharaya died on 23rd September 2006 in a helicopter crash at Ghunsa. In this crash, 24 other people dedicated to conservation and environmental work also died. ENPHO established the “Bigyan Memorial Research Award” to honor Late Acharya and to support individuals wishing to conduct research in the field of environment and science. The objective of the award is to help build younger generation working on environment sector.
The Bigyan Memorial Research Award is granted annually, and this year the award will be announced during 21st annual general assembly of this ENPHO.
Fields of Study
A research proposal is requested from interested students/researchers for conducting research work in the following fields of study:
– Water and Sanitation
– Climate Change
– Ground water resource and River Pollution
– Other Environment related issues
