A call for participation in the second annual Greater Phoenix Fast Pitch Social Innovation Expo is made by Social Venture Partners Arizona. The Expo is designed to honor valley nonprofits that have been involved in significant social-work, within Phoenix.
A total of twenty non-profit organizations can participate in the event. These organizations will be selected on the basis of their innovative and beneficial methods employed to address social issues. It will be a seven-week program, where the participants will be trained by business executives, marketing experts, educators and philanthropists to create an impact by delivering a three-minute story on how they help improve the quality of life in the community.
When asked, last year’s participants told that the program was extremely beneficial, as it helped them achieve greater confidence. It also helped them increase exposure for their organizations, and make new relationships. They were also able to get more support from donors and volunteers, with the help of the program.
A live event on March 6, 2012, will mark the conclusion of the program. On that day, eight finalists will be selected to present three-minute story that will be witnessed by a panel of experts and an audience of investors, business and nonprofit leaders, and members of Arizona’s entrepreneurial community. Winners will be able to win up to $100,000 in funding.
The last date to receive the applications is October 31, 2011.
