The Microinsurance Innovation Facility’s fellowship programme is an opportunity for young professionals to gain hands-on experience in microinsurance by working onsite in a microinsurance programme under the remote guidance of a mentor and, at the same time, to build the institutional capacity of the host organization. The assignments, based in developing countries, last from 6 to 12 months. Fellows are provided with monthly stipends that vary by host country and experience. Fellowships are learning opportunities and not offers of employment.
The fellowship programme is available from March 2012 to March 2013 at Lagos and Kwara States in Nigeria. The host organization for this programme is Hygeia Community Health Plan Limited, Nigeria.
Hygeia Community Health Plan (HCHP) is a not for profit organization that provides low income communities with equitable access to affordable and quality healthcare services.
The HCHP is seeking a Microinsurance Fellow that will provide support to design and implement appropriate tools/frameworks for the evaluation of existing products, delivery mechanisms and sales methodologies in order to accomplish cost effective and efficient marketing and sales outcomes.
The application deadline is 30 November 2011. For more information, visit this link.
